Pepsi Indian premier league 2014 winner predictions are placed here. It is that time of year again when every single cricket fan is turning their complete and undivided attention towards the Indian Premier League. The tournament has in fact taken a bit of a turn in terms of venue. No matter where it takes place, it is evident that cricket enthusiasts around the world want to know each team’s status.

How will they fare? Who is most likely to come out on top? These are the buzzing questions as of late.

Analysing each team, we can see two title contenders who distinguish themselves from the rest of the pack. Those two teams are the Chennai Super Kings and the Royal Challengers Bangalore.
Prior to the Royal Challengers

, Lets take a glance at last season’s runner-up, the Super Kings. This franchise opted to stick with the players that have done wonders for them in the past, which was a wise decision.

Chennai will once again depend on captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni for his excellent skills as a captain and as a batsman. Having said that, Dhoni’s injury is likely to cause trouble for him. This is where they will need Suresh Raina.

Arguably Chennai’s smartest move in the auction, was securing batsman Brendon McCullum. McCullum has been in sparkling form during the past few games. Chennai will also expect much from Francois du Plesis who also has maintained consistency in the recent past.

Chennai’s bowling power lies mainly with R. Ashwin who is expected to do exceptionally well. R. Jadeja and Ben Hilfenhaus will be Chennai’s other star bowlers.

Moving on to the RCB, we can expect a good performance from them this year. Virat Kohli, A.B. de Villiers and Yuvraj Singh have been up in form lately. Kohli has made 189 runs out of 3 matches in the Asia cup and de Villiers has made 237 in his last 4 ODI matches.

RCB will also rely heavily on Mitchell Starc along with Muttiah Muralitharan, who can bowl very economically. Ashok Dinda is also expected to make an impression.

These two teams are likely to battle it out to the top. The RCB’s main Achilles’ heel in the past has been consistency, but most of their players have been outstanding in limited over matches lately.
Even so, many would give the edge to the CSK team due to their more balanced nature in every single department, whereas the Royal Challengers have a less powerful bowling attack. Ignoring the obvious differences in the teams, we can expect great performances from both these franchises in the 2014 season of the Indian Premier League.
